Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. is seeking an experienced CNC Operator III to join our 1st shift team. This role produces machined parts by setting up CNC machines and maintaining quality and safety standards within the work area.

You will perform setup, change-overs, tool selection, and program editing as needed; read blueprints, inspect first articles, measure parts, and collaborate with the area leader to resolve delays and support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or CNC certificate preferred.
• At least 6 years of CNC experience with strong understanding of CNC programming language.
• Experience reading engineering prints and using measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Operate and change over all machines; run multiple machines efficiently.
• Select tooling, set up, adjust offsets, and edit programs as needed.
• Read prints and inspect first-piece articles to ensure specifications are met.
• Load materials, unload parts, and measure parts for accuracy.
• Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and optical comparators.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and support continuous improvement initiatives.
