Job summary

Kennametal Inc. in Harrisonburg, VA is seeking a CNC Operator II for the 3rd shift (10:45pm – 7:15am) to run and program multiple machines to blueprint specifications. You will setup, load, inspect, and document production while training new operators to ensure safety and quality standards.

Required: High School diploma or GED; a 2-year technical degree is preferred. Prior machining experience and familiarity with HMI and 5-axis operations are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 2 year technical degree is preferred.
• Experience with CNC setup and machining is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Program, set-up and operate multiple machines using blueprints or specifications.
• Perform complex machine setup using HMI for adjustments, including 5-axis operations.
• Load and off-load product from machines.
• Gage and inspect product to ensure correct dimensions and quality.
• Document inspection results and track production data.
• Train new operators as needed.
• Troubleshoot quality and machine issues from moderate to complex.
