Job summary

IDEX Corporation is hiring a CNC Operator II for 2nd shift in New Jersey. You will oversee CNC setup and operation, perform in-process and CMM inspections, and read blueprints to ensure parts meet quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or related experience and/or training.
• 2-3 years’ experience in CNC machining.
• Intermediate understanding of CNC G-codes and M-codes.
• Intermediate skill in operating CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools.
• Haas Controller Experience preferred.
• Quality assurance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and milling machines; ensure proper fixtures are utilized per setup instructions.
• Verify settings by measuring positions, first run part and sample workpieces.
• Load and adjust CNC programs as needed. Set zero/references points and tool offsets.
• Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto CNC machines; handle materials safely.
• Read and interpret intermediate-level blueprints and drawings.
• Fabricate tools and parts out of various metals and plastics.
• Perform in-process inspection; measure dimensions and tolerances.
• Conduct CMM inspections as needed; participate in root cause analysis for non-conformities.
