Job summary

Integrity Staffing Services seeks a skilled CNC Machinist in Virginia Beach to set up, operate, and monitor grinding/machining equipment. You will inspect parts with precision tools, perform minor program edits, and ensure part quality through strict tolerances.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 5 years of CNC experience in manufacturing. Strong measurement skills and safety mindset are essential.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 5 years CNC machining experience in manufacturing.
  • Experience setting up CNC machines and minor program edits.
  • Proficient with precision measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, gauges, dial indicators).
  • Experience with pneumatic tools and basic MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor CNC grinding and machining equipment per work instructions.
  • Inspect parts throughout production using precision instruments to verify quality.
  • Make minor program edits, offsets, and adjustments to maintain quality.
  • Set up gauge heads and inspection equipment for high‑tolerance work.
  • Adjust machine settings to ensure precision, repeatability, and efficiency.
  • Dress grinding wheels and replace diamonds as required.
  • Deburr components and prepare for next production stage.
  • Perform routine maintenance and basic machine upkeep.
  • Read and interpret process sheets, blueprints, and technical docs.
  • Maintain a safe, organized work area and support continuous improvement.

Job description

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and monitor CNC grinding and machining equipment according to work instructions and production requirements.
  • Inspect machined parts throughout the manufacturing process using precision measuring instruments to verify quality and dimensional accuracy.
  • Make minor program edits, machine offsets, and adjustments to maintain product quality and process consistency.
  • Set up and utilize gauge heads and other inspection equipment for high‑tolerance applications.
  • Adjust machine settings to ensure precision, repeatability, and efficient production.
  • Dress grinding wheels and replace diamonds as required.
  • Deburr finished components and prepare parts for the next stage of production.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and basic machine upkeep.
  • Read and interpret process sheets, blueprints, work instructions, and technical documentation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience setting up CNC machines and making minor program adjustments.
  • Proficient in using precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, gauges, and dial indicators.
  • Experience using pneumatic and manual hand tools.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills, including Word and Excel.
  • Experience working with tight tolerances and precision machining preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
  • Detail‑oriented with a strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and workplace safety.
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Schedule

Monday–Friday | 7:00PM – 3:30AM

Training Schedule

Monday–Friday | 7:00AM – 3:30PM for approximately 90 days

Compensation

$22.00–$25.00/hour + 7.5% shift differential upon transition to 2nd shift
