Job summary

Hunter Engineering Company in Raymond, MS is seeking an NC Operator on the 3rd shift (11pm–7am, Mon–Fri). You will read specs, set up tools, run CNC programs, and inspect parts to ensure quality. This family-owned, American-made leader offers solid benefits and opportunities for growth.

Starting rate is 28.15/hour with a 100% shift differential. You must have a high school diploma, basic math skills, ability to lift 50 lbs, and proficiency with AS400 and Microsoft tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic (add/subtract/multiply/divide) in all units.
• Experience operating CNC or manual machines is a plus.
• AS400 and Microsoft tools proficiency is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and sequence.
• Set up tools and punches as per setup sheets.
• Monitor machine operation and detect defects or malfunctions.
• Measure dimensions with calipers, micrometer, and ruler to ensure accuracy.
• Engage CNC program to start cutting or punching; troubleshoot as needed.
• Move materials onto machines and read blueprints for specs.
• Maintain tools and perform basic machine maintenance.
• Follow safety rules and work overtime as required.
• May train other operators.
