Job summary

Sonnax Transmission Company, part of Marmon Holdings, is seeking a CNC Setup/Operator to join an experienced team in a continuous improvement environment. You will set up and operate CNC mills and lathes (Haas, Hardinge, Mitsubishi) to produce parts to print specs.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of machining experience, plus the ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools. Monday–Thursday, 10-hour shifts with a 10% shift differential.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED is required.
• Two years of machining experience is required.
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools.
• Understand decimal/fraction conversions.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings to understand tolerances.
• Interpret setup documentation and tooling sheets for various jobs.
• Setup and operate CNC machines to meet parts-per-hour targets.
• Perform quality checks and adjust to hold print tolerances.
• Make offset/program adjustments or request updates from programmer.
• Maintain tools and equipment, and perform daily preventive maintenance.
