Job summary

BluePrint Automation Inc. is seeking a 2nd shift CNC Machinist to operate mills and lathes in our South Chesterfield, VA facility. Candidates must read blueprints, interpret GD&T, and program or edit CNC routines while adhering to quality standards.

The role requires a high school diploma with CNC certification and 1–3 years of machine shop experience. We offer comprehensive benefits, PTO, and a 401(k) with a 6% match.

Qualifications

• High school diploma + CNC Certification and 1–3 years in a machine shop.
• Ability to read blueprints and tolerances.
• Understanding of G and M codes and machine setup.
• Ability to determine sequence of operations to manufacture parts.
• Experience with measuring tools: micrometers, calipers, gauges.

Responsibilities

• Plan Machining by studying work orders, blueprints and drawings.
• Program and set up mills and lathes; adjust tools and offsets.
• Load stock, verify settings and inspect first parts.
• Maintain quality and troubleshoot tooling and processes.
• Maintain safety and equipment maintenance routines.
• Document actions and communicate needs between shifts.
