Job summary

Envista Holdings Corporation in Yorba Linda, CA is seeking a shop-focused CNC operator to produce titanium parts in a machine center. You will collaborate with CNC Operators I-III, ensure quality with QA/QC, and perform precision measurements using a range of instruments.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience working with CNC Swiss-type machines.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Familiarity with GMP/ISO 9001 after training.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
• Basic safety knowledge and ability to lift 25 pounds.
• Basic English at high school level for reading and speaking.
• Ability to upload/download CNC programs to machines.
• Experience using screw machine production documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate day-to-day machine center to produce titanium parts.
• Regularly partner with CNC Operators I-III and QA/QC staff.
• Perform standard shop computations related to dimensions.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments for quality control.
• Set up and operate one or more machine types; perform simple set-ups.
• Load bar stock and change tools such as center drill independently.
• Apply tool offsets to manufacture parts per blueprints.

Performs day-to-day machine operations in a machine center production environment to produce titanium parts.

• Regularly partners with CNC Operators I-III


• Interfaces with quality assurance and quality control to maintain quality of work produced


• Perform standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work


• Regular utilization of a wide variety of precision measuring instruments

Job Requirements

• High school minimum, GED or equivalent (college, technical, or trade preferred)


• Strong mechanical aptitude


• Basic knowledge of safety and hazardous material regulations


• Knowledge retention of FDA Quality System requirements (\"Good Manufacturing Practices\") and ISO 9001 requirements after training


• Basic CNC programming knowledge, enough to upload/download programs to machines


• Ability to lift 25 pounds


• 20/20 vision with or without aid


• Basic English proficiency at a High School level both in oral communications and reading comprehension


• Ability to work directly from blueprints and drawings


• Technical skills to produce a finished screw machine part after the machine is set up.


• Independently load a bar stock and change tools such as center drill without assistance.


• Capable of performing tool offsets in order to make a part according to blueprint


• Basic data entry skills and familiarity with PC.


• SAP skills a plus.


• Comfortable with use of screw machine production electronic documentation system.


• Ability to operate one or more types of machine


• Ability to perform simple set-ups on one or more types of machines

Critical Experience

• 1-2 years experience working with CNC Swiss type machines, or equivalent #LI-TP1 IND123

Target Market Salary Range

Actual compensation packages take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location; skill sets; relevant education and certifications; depth of experience; performance; and other business and organizational needs.

The total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401K match, and/or other applicable compensation plans.
