Job summary

Atwork in Rockford, TN is seeking a CNC lathe operator to monitor and run CNC lathe machines, ensuring parts meet specifications. You will follow prepared computer controller instructions, manage tooling, load materials, and adjust speeds as needed to maintain quality.

The role runs Monday–Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with a pay rate of $16 per hour. Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills are essential for success in this manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in CNC or manufacturing required.
• Self-motivated, detail‑oriented, energetic and highly organized.
• Excellent written, editing, data entry and proofreading skills are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Set up tooling, download program, and perform test operations.
• Load materials into CNC machines to be shaped.
• Make adjustments to operating speed based on vibrations and sounds indicating malfunctions.
• Inspect fabricates parts to ensure they meet specifications.
• Clean and maintain CNC equipment.

Job description

The occupation entails monitoring and operating CNC (computer numerically controlled) lathe machines to cut metal parts. Upon the instructions being developed for a computer controller A CNC lathe operator then takes over production, running the machine and monitoring it for problems. Monday-Friday 7am-3: 30pm $16 per hour.

Role and Responsibilities

• Setup tooling, download program, and perform test operations
• Load materials into CNC machines to be shaped
• Make adjustments to the operating speed based on vibrations and sounds that may indicate a malfunction
• Inspect fabricated part to make sure parts are within specifications
• Cleaning and maintaining equipment

Qualifications and Requirements

• Previous experience in CNC or manufacturing!
• The candidate should be self-motivated, detail-oriented, energetic, and highly organized.
• Must be a team player and have outstanding writing, editing, data entry, and proofreading skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects are essential.
