Job summary

FastTrack Staffing seeks a CNC Machine Operator in Michigan to operate, monitor, and maintain CNC equipment producing precision parts according to specifications.

You will read blueprints, perform in-process inspections, manage tooling, and ensure quality while following safety and drug-free workplace policy.

Qualifications

• CNC machine operation experience required.
• Ability to stand for 8+ hours per shift.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines such as mills, lathes, or grinders following established instructions.
• Monitor machine during production to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Load raw materials and unload finished parts.
• Read blueprints and job orders to understand tolerances and finishes.
• Inspect parts during and after machining using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Perform in-process adjustments to maintain quality.
• Monitor fluids in machines and refill as needed.
• Interpret tooling instructions and determine material requirements.

Job Responsibilities

A CNC Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision parts and components according to detailed specifications. They ensure the machine runs efficiently and that finished parts meet quality standards.

Job Duties

• Operate CNC machines such as mills, lathes, or grinders, following established instructions and procedures.


• Monitor the CNC machine during the production process to ensure it runs smoothly and produces parts according to specifications.


• Start and stop the machine, load raw materials, and unload finished parts.


• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders to understand part specifications, tolerances, and finishing requirements.


• Inspect parts during and after machining using precision measurement tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges.


• Perform in-process inspections and adjust the machine as needed to maintain product quality.


• Study blueprints, layouts or charts, and job orders for information on specifications and tooling instructions, and to determine material requirements and operational sequences.


• Refill, change, and monitor the level of fluids, such as oil and coolant, in machines.
