A leading company in plastics manufacturing is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist in Mooresville, NC. The ideal candidate will operate CNC machines within a high-quality production environment, performing necessary setups and maintaining machine performance. PrideStaff is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for a plastics manufacturing warehouse located in Mooresville, NC. The ideal candidate withsetup and run production precision machines. Will also performdaily duties to keepCNC machines running to meet production requirements, and quality requirements.
Location: Mooresville, NC 28115
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6am-2:30pm (40 hour week + some overtime)
Pay Rate: $17-18/hr. *room for growth based on experience level
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following...
*Other duties may be assigned.
*Any experience with customs plastics, thermoforming, extrusion or manufacturing environment is preferred.
-Conveys parts from CNC holding area
- May be required to mark materials with identifying information, bar codes, part labels, and records amounts of parts or items received or distributed
- Weighs, measures and/or counts parts to ensure counts
-Required to use computer to enter records, track time and quantity
- Responsible for general work area housekeeping and safe work habits per checklist
- Monitors process, to make changes that will allow process to produce acceptable part
- Set controls to regulate machining, or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media
- Read set-up sheets and set tooling (end mills, drills, cutters)
- Monitor the feeds and speeds of machine during machining process
- Keeps scrap segregated for recycling
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and measuring instruments, i.e., micrometers, calipers, height stands, Solid works, etc.
- Follows Lockout/Tagout and all other OSHA requirements
- Problem sensitivity: the ability to tell when something is wrong or likely to go wrong
-Knowledge and experience with Solid works
- Efficient blueprint interpretation
- Vacuum line diagnostics
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to writesimple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must be able to measure material using devices such as calipers and tape measure.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
