Responsibilities

• Setting up and operating CNC machines, specifically 3-axis and 4-axis mills, to perform various functions such as drilling, grinding, milling etc.
• Understanding specifications of the task at hand by reading blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Translating instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
• Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
• Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet requirements.
• Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make necessary adjustments to produce a better result.
• Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
• Ensure that the CNC machine operates in accordance with the guidelines of the company.
• Test operation of machines periodically to guarantee their smooth running.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Operator.
• In-depth knowledge of 3-axis and 4-axis mill operations.
• Extensive experience in architectural woodworking and millwork.
• Proficiency in CNC setup and operations.
• Strong understanding of blueprint reading and mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent knowledge of CNC machine operation and quality control.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.
• Computer savvy with a detailed understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM.
• Mechanical aptitude and good math skills.
• A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach.
• Good communication abilities, with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent; certificate or diploma in engineering or relevant discipline is a plus.
• Valid certification to operate CNC machines.
