  • Perform quality checks to ensure specifications are met.
  • Design fixtures and tooling as needed.
  • Cut and shape metal to specifications.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues to minimize downtime.
  • Train operators and maintain safety and cleanliness.
  • Collaborate to improve production processes and efficiency.
  • Monitor inventory of materials and tools.

Job description

Our client located in Exton, PA is seeking a motivated CNC Operator to join their team. The CNC Operator will be responsible for moving materials, setting up machines and ensuring parts are made in a timely manner.

1st Shift hours: Monday - Friday 7AM - 3:30PM with overtime available $25-30/hr based on experience

salary: $52,000 - $61,000 per year

Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate and maintain various CNC machines (lathes, mills, grinders)
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, CAD files and specifications
  • Select appropriate cutting tools, inserts, and work holding based on material type and part requirements.
  • Program CNC machines and prepare setup sheets, sequences, including machining parameters (speeds, feeds, depths of cut) to ensure optimal tool life and product quality.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure compliance with specifications
  • Design and machine fixtures, cutting tools and attachments as needed
  • Cut and shape metal according to specifications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to minimize downtime
  • Train and assist operators in machine operations and part quality control
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols
  • Collaborate with team members to improve production processes and efficiency
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of materials and tools
The essential functions of this role include:
  • working in a smoke free environment
  • wearing steel toe shoes
  • working in a non-temperature controlled environment
  • manual lifting up to 25lbs
  • standing for 8 hours at one time
