Job summary

ChampionX in Crowley, TX, is seeking a CNC Operator for 2nd shift. You will program, set up, and operate CNC machines to produce machined parts while maintaining quality and safety standards.

What You Will Do

• Produce machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine
• Maintain quality and safety standards, keeping records, and maintaining equipment and supplies
• Perform payroll recounting and document preparation; maintain accurate documentation
• Remain reliable with a good attendance history; work required overtime during times of increased business
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Position Details

4 day - 10hr shifts, Monday - Thursday, 4:15pm to 3:00am

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent education and/or experience
• 2 years of successful manufacturing shop employment experience
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment
• Good computer skills
• Basic math skills and the ability to read blueprints
• Must be able to read and comprehend manufacturing documents, blueprints, and other company publications related to the job and all safety notifications
• Knowledge of CNC machine tools
• Use of micrometers, calipers, and other common shop tools
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Commitment to work overtime as needed
• Maintain appropriate levels of daily attendance, initiative and productivity

• Experience with machine tools

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift to 50 pounds and standing or walking in the work area for most of the day is a requirement of the job
• Stand for up to 8 hours or more
• Perform repetitive motions throughout process
• Role is deemed safety sensitive and may be subject to employer or customer drug testing
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
• The employee is regularly required to talk or hear
• The employee is frequently required to use hands and fingers to pick, feel, and/or inspect material
• The employee will also reach with arms and hands as needed
