Job summary

ChampionX (SLB) seeks a Maintenance Technician in Crowley, TX to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production equipment. You will handle emergency repairs, preventive maintenance, and CMMS work orders to minimize downtime and ensure safety standards are met.

Ideal candidates bring 5 years in manufacturing, CNC experience with Mazak/Okuma/Doosan, and strong electrical/mechanical skills. OT and safety adherence are essential in this fast-paced plant environment.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in manufacturing environment.
  • 3 years of experience in electrical and mechanical repairs and troubleshooting of industrial equipment including CNC machines (Mazak, Okuma, Doosan)
  • Strong working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, vacuum systems, machine controls and PLC controllers.
  • Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics and diagrams.
  • Good computer skills with experience in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and CMMS software.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, written, communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Solid working knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures.
  • Highly disciplined, problem-solver, logical thinking, troubleshooting team player with strong work ethic.
  • Commitment to work overtime as needed (e.g. last-minute repairs, weekends).
  • Maintain appropriate levels of daily attendance, initiative and productivity.
  • Driven, self-starter and dedicated to safety, quality, and continual process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support plant goals.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs during machine service.
  • Utilize electrical and mechanical skill sets to maintain CNC and other manufacturing equipment including pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, bearings, pumps, gearboxes, motors/motor controls, wiring/circuits, and PLCs (basics).
  • Perform Preventive and Predictive Maintenance on CNC machines and equipment and ensure timely completion using CMMS.
  • Execute regular work orders assigned by CMMS.
  • Analyze breakdowns for possible root causes and identify solutions to prevent future.
  • Actively support spare parts inventory minimizing downtime while reducing costs.
  • Ensure compliance of safety program while performing work.
  • Support lean activities within Manufacturing Services and across the organization.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

  • 4 day -10hr shift Monday - Thursday, 5:30AM – 4:15PM

What You Will Do:

  • Perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems, and processes to support the achievement of the plant’s business goals and objectives.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in manufacturing environment.
  • 3 years of experience in electrical and mechanical repairs and troubleshooting of industrial equipment including CNC machines (Mazak, Okuma, Doosan)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Electrical / mechanical knowledge of Okuma, Mazak, and Doosan CNCs. (2, 3 and 5 axis)
  • Technical/ Vocational School
  • PLC programming experience
  • Experience in the Oil & Gas Industry
