Job Location: Seaside Casual Furniture - Coventry, RI 02816Job Shift: First ShiftPurpose of Position: The CNC Operator is responsible for performing various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot machinery on assigned machines. The CNC Operator will also be responsible for inspecting parts to specifications and making adjustments or tool changes as necessary to maintain quality specifications.

Position Overview:

The CNC Operator will be a vital member of the production team, primarily responsible for the precise setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC machinery. This role requires a strong focus on quality control, ensuring all manufactured parts meet strict company specifications. The operator will be expected to work effectively within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, adhering to safety protocols, production schedules, and contributing to the overall efficiency and output of the facility.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Work from specifications to call up programs.
  • Loads fixture boards and materials onto machines.
  • Ensures machines are properly set up, runs (or assists with) first piece inspection.
  • Assures products are produced to companies’ quality standards.
  • Works with operation team to meet daily production goals.
  • Performs secondary and cleaning operations as needed.
  • Work independently in a team environment.
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance.
  • Housekeeping and sanitation of the machine/equipment.

This position is responsible for but not limited to all the tasks and duties listed above

Success in this role is achieved when the operator consistently maintains high-quality standards, meets or exceeds daily production targets, and proactively troubleshoots and maintains machinery to ensure maximum uptime and operational efficiency.

QualificationsQualifications:
  • High School Graduation or equivalent. Must be able to comprehend and read basic English.
  • Mechanically inclined, familiar with light production tools such as drills, routers, sanders, calipers, and micrometers.
  • Experience in a production environment a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic reading and math skills
  • Basic computer competency, such as MS Windows, email, and word processor.
  • Ability to problem-solve independently.
  • Concentration.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Able to follow instructions and production schedules.
  • Able to act quickly and appropriately when a problem arises
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • Frequently required to talk, hear, sit, twist, use hands/ fingers to push, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Regularly required to stand for prolonged periods of time and walk.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and depth perception.
  • Frequently walk onto the manufacturing floor and wear PPE as required.
