Job summary

JBT Machining in Minnesota is seeking an experienced CNC operator to produce parts on CNC machines according to specifications, unload and package parts, and maintain accurate daily records.

You will follow Shop Traveler instructions, inspection sheets, and blueprints, perform required inspections, keep the work area clean and safe, and contribute to continuous improvement and safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Gibbs, MC, Fusion experience preferred.
• 3-axis, 5-axis and pallet systems knowledge.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask on varied projects.

Responsibilities

• Check with designated lead on machine and job assignment.
• Produce parts on CNC machines according to specifications and production requirements.
• Unload and package parts according to JBT Machining standards and customer requirements.
• Complete accurate daily records for every job in Shop Travelers and ERP.
• Follow instructions from Shop Traveler, Inspection Sheets, and blueprints.
• Inform quality control and shift supervisor of any issues with parts.
• Perform inspections and ensure product quality.
• Perform preventive maintenance and monitor equipment for abnormal conditions.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow 5S procedures.
• Adhere to PPE and safety policies; perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

• Check with designated lead person on machine assignment and job assignment.
• Produce parts on CNC machines according to specifications and within acceptable production requirements.
• Unload and package parts according to JBT Machining standards and customer requirements.
• Complete accurate daily records (date, times, quantities of parts ran, and scrap) for every job worked on, on Shop Travelers and in the ERP system.
• Follow instructions from all JBT Machining documentation, including: Shop Traveler, Inspection Sheets, and blueprints.
• Inform quality control, shift supervisor/ lead person of any problems or concerns with parts.
• Accept responsibility for the quality of products/services provided and perform all required inspections.
• Perform required preventive maintenance on equipment, watch and listen for abnormal conditions, and report any concerns to maintenance and/or shift supervisor/lead immediately.
• Maintain assigned work area in a clean and orderly manner and comply with all 5S procedures.
• Conduct all tasks and behaviors in a safe manner and comply with all JBT Machining Safety Policies, including the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Maintain all required documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Wage Range: $22.00 - $33.00/hour (depending on experience)

Shift: 1st (Monday-Thursday: 6am-4:30pm, Friday: 6am-11am)
