Job summary

SmartLam North America is seeking a CNC Operator to oversee machining operations, train operators, and ensure quality and efficiency on the shop floor. You will coordinate with production and programming teams to optimize processes, uphold safety, and maintain schedules.

Strong math, communication, and leadership are essential for success. The role requires proficiency in CNC programming, CAD tools, and blueprint reading, with a focus on quality control and waste management.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.
2-5 years of CNC operator experience.
Relevant certifications can be an advantage.
Proficiency in CAD, blueprint reading, and safety practices.
Willing to train and lead others.

Responsibilities

Train and develop CNC operators to build effective teams and maintain shift production.
Collaborate with production and programming to optimize programs and reports.
Enforce safety standards and SOPs; maintain a safe work environment.
Conduct safety audits and update procedures per industry standards.
Maintain tooling and equipment, monitor maintenance schedules.
Review programs/blueprints to ensure correct machine operations.
Maintain Kanban status in Zoho and manage quality control.
