Qualifications

• Proven experience operating CNC mills, lathes, presses, and fabrication equipment in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls, CAM programming, and CAD software such as SolidWorks.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T requirements.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments, tooling setups, and mechanical troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor CNC operators while ensuring safety procedures and production schedules.
• Oversee setup, calibration, and operation of CNC mills, lathes, stamping presses, and other equipment.
• Program CNC machines using Fanuc controls and CAM software based on CAD drawings and GD&T requirements.
• Inspect components using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools.
• Verify finished parts meet blueprint requirements and quality specifications.
• Coordinate material handling, tooling setups, and fabrication activities to maintain workflow.
• Troubleshoot CNC equipment and partner with maintenance on repairs.
• Maintain machine operation records, production logs, and quality reports.
• Identify opportunities to improve machining processes, productivity, and quality.

We are searching for an experienced CNC Operator Lead on behalf of our manufacturing client. This hands-on leadership role oversees CNC machining operations, guides operators, and supports safe, efficient production.

The ideal candidate brings strong CNC operating and programming skills, experience with machine setups, and the ability to help a team meet production schedules and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor CNC operators while ensuring adherence to safety procedures and production schedules.
• Oversee the setup, calibration, and operation of CNC mills, lathes, stamping presses, and other machining equipment.
• Program CNC machines using Fanuc controls and CAM software based on CAD drawings and GD&T requirements.

• Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T requirements.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments, tooling setups, and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), welding techniques, and fabrication processes.
• Ability to use hand tools for assembly and fabrication tasks.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience leading a small manufacturing or machining team.
• Factory or warehouse experience involving material handling, packaging, assembly lines, or logistics.
