Ultimate Staffing's aerospace manufacturing client in Macomb County seeks an OD Grinder for immediate hire on the 2nd shift. Schedule is 50-55 hours/week, direct hire, compensation $28-32/hour. The role reads blueprints, sets up and operates Studer OD grinders with FANUC controls, and maintains critical tolerances to print specifications.

Qualifications

• Reads and interprets blueprints and specifications
• Proficient with GD&T concepts and tolerances
• Operates Studer OD Grinder with FANUC controls to tight specs
• Uses micrometers, gauges and comparators to verify parts

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and follow blueprints and specs
• Set up and operate CNC OD/ID grinding equipment on Studer machines
• Maintain tolerances as printed; adjust to specifications
• Grind spline shafts and gears to tight tolerances (.0001"-.0005")
• Document SPC data and participate in operator program
• Perform in-process and final inspections with precision gauges
