Job summary

Acme Industries in Elk Grove Village, IL is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for end-to-end setups on vertical and horizontal CNC mills. You will choose workholding, set up tooling, and prove out programs to achieve first-article approval.

You will adjust FANUC offsets and parameters to hit tight tolerances quickly, perform in-process and final inspection using micrometers, calipers, and CMM where applicable, and document setups for smooth handoffs. 5S cleanliness is emphasized.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC milling with start-to-finish setup responsibility.
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T to execute setups.
• Experience with FANUC controls and first-article inspection.

Responsibilities

• Set up end-to-end CNC milling on vertical and horizontal machines.
• Select tooling and workholding; prove out programs.
• Perform in-process and final inspection with micrometers, calipers, CMM as applicable.
• Investigate and correct tool wear, tolerances, and machine alarms.
• Document setup for repeatability and handoff; maintain 5S area.
• Communicate priorities across shifts.
