Job summary

Thorlabs designs and manufactures components, instruments, and systems in a fast-paced environment. The CNC Machinist will set up and operate 3- and 4-axis milling machines, read blueprints, and verify tolerances while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Requirements include 4+ years in a similar role, experience with Haas/Fanuc and G-code programming, plus CNC certification is a plus. The shift offers a differential and a $5,000 sign-on bonus; relocation to NJ may be required for some

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar position preferred plus training in CNC Programming
• High School Diploma or equivalent or equivalent work experience
• CNC certification or CNC Trade School is a major plus

Responsibilities

• Performs set ups on Vertical and Horizontal CNC Milling Machines (3 & 4 axis).
• Experience with Haas and Fanuc controls.
• Understanding of G codes/M codes and DNC systems.
• Reads blueprints and geometric tolerances to ensure conformance.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area and adheres to company policies.
