Aerotek is seeking a CNC Mill Setup and Operator in Blaine, MN. You will set up and operate Haas CNC vertical mills to produce complex parts from blueprints and specs, ensuring tight tolerances and high quality.

Responsibilities include selecting tooling, setting offsets, reading drawings, editing G-code, and performing inspections with precision instruments. The role requires collaboration with engineering and quality teams and offers a permanent onsite position.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience setting up and operating Haas CNC vertical mills.
• Proficiency with CNC setup, tooling, work offsets, and machine setup.
• Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
• Working knowledge of G-code and ability to edit at the machine.
• Experience with Mastercam or similar CAM software for program adjustments.

Job Title: CNC Mill Setup and Operator

This role focuses on setting up and operating Haas CNC vertical mills to produce complex, short- to medium-run parts with tight tolerances. You will work from blueprints and technical specifications, perform precision inspections, and collaborate closely with engineering, programming, and quality teams to ensure high-quality, efficient production.

• Select and install appropriate tooling, set work offsets, and perform complete machine setups to meet production requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications to ensure accurate part manufacturing.
• Use Mastercam and G&M code to make program edits and optimize machining processes.
• Perform first article inspections and adjust programs, tooling, and offsets to maintain tight tolerances and quality standards.
• Inspect finished and in-process parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
