Job summary

Lawrence Equipment, Inc. is seeking a skilled CNC Mill Setup Machinist for 1st shift (Mon-Fri 6:00 AM–3:30 PM, Saturdays as needed). The role involves editing programs and setting up HAAS EC630 horizontally to produce precision parts, reading blueprints, and performing quality checks to ensure tight tolerances.

You will collaborate with engineering to improve processes and uphold safety standards while maintaining tooling and equipment for optimal performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as CNC Mill Setup Machinist.
• Experience operating CNC lathes.
• Familiarity with Fanuc CNC controls.
• Familiarity with Haas CNC controls.
• 3+ years experience as a HORIZONTAL Mill Setup Machinist with 4 axis functions.
• Proficiency in G-Code, M-code, Fanuc controls and blueprint reading.

Responsibilities

• Edit programs and set up HAAS EC630 Horizontal CNC Mill to produce precision parts according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints to determine machining requirements.
• Perform quality checks using bore gauges, micrometers, and other measuring tools.
• Maintain tooling and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve machining processes and product quality.
• Adhere to safety protocols while operating machinery and handling materials.
