System One is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist with mill set-up expertise in Wheeling, IL. The role focuses on setting up and operating 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC milling machines to produce high-precision components while meeting tight tolerances and production goals.

Ideal candidates will read blueprints, select tooling, adjust offsets, and verify parts with precision measuring tools, ensuring quality and on-time delivery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC machining experience.
• Experience performing mill set-ups on 3, 4, and/or 5-axis CNC machines.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge preferred.
• Experience using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC milling machines.
• Perform complete machine set-ups including tooling, fixtures, and offsets.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
• Verify first-piece and in-process inspections with precision instruments.
• Make machine and tooling adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and equipment issues.
• Maintain dimensional accuracy to meet production deadlines.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and keep the workspace clean.
