Job summary

Valid8 Financial, Inc. is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist skilled in milling operations and GD&T interpretation. The role involves setting up, operating, and troubleshooting CNC mills, with a focus on accurate part manufacture from engineering drawings.

Responsibilities include tool setup, in‑process inspection, and minor CNC program edits. Candidates should have 3+ years of hands‑on CNC milling experience and strong problem‑solving abilities.

Qualifications

• Proficient in reading engineering drawings with GD&T symbols and tolerances.
• Able to perform complete CNC mill setups and first‑article runs.
• Experience interpreting blueprints and applying precise measurement.
• Knowledge of tooling selection, speeds/feeds, and machining practices.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail; able to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines, including tooling, work holding, and program offsets.
• Interpret complex drawings with GD&T, ensuring conformance to specs throughout production.
• Perform in-process inspection using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, and similar instruments.
• Troubleshoot machining issues, tool wear, and dimensional deviations; adjust as needed.
• Make minor edits to CNC programs (G/M code) and collaborate with programmers/engineers to optimize processes.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; perform basic machine maintenance and preventive checks.
• Suggest process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce scrap.
