Job summary

Proponent, Inc. in Brea, CA is seeking a Mill Machinist II on 2nd shift to write programming and set up CNC milling machines, reading blueprints and planning tooling for aviation parts. You will run HAAS vertical mills, inspect finished parts, and document job logs. Prior CNC mill setup/operation and ERP experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• 1+ yr CNC mill set up and operation.
• Prior programming experience with aviation parts preferred.
• Proficient with Shoptech E2 or similar ERP.
• Proficient with CNC Vertical Milling Centers (HAAS).
• Experience with a variety of shop tools and machinery.
• Ability to read technical data, quality procedures, drawings, and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Write programming and perform set-up of CNC milling machines.
• Plan tooling requirements and sequencing for parts.
• Test programs and inspect finished parts for dimensions and quality.
• Complete paperwork and logs and secure inspection approvals.
