Job summary

Laborup in the greater Tuscaloosa area is seeking dependable CNC Mill Operators to join a skilled machining team on 1st and 2nd shifts. You will operate CNC milling equipment, inspect parts, and take ownership of your machine and production throughout the shift.

Responsibilities include loading parts, reading basic blueprints, making basic offsets or tooling changes, and maintaining safe, efficient operation.

Qualifications

• CNC mill or machining-center experience preferred.
• Ability to operate independently once a job is set up.
• FANUC control experience is a plus.
• Strong attendance and reliability.
• Comfortable taking ownership of your machine and the quality of your parts.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC mills and vertical machining centers
• Load parts and keep machines running safely and efficiently
• Inspect parts using calipers and other measuring equipment
• Complete first-piece and in-process quality checks
• Read and follow basic blueprints, work instructions, and production documentation
• Monitor machine performance and part quality
• Make basic offsets, tooling changes, or adjustments within your experience level
• Maintain production expectations and keep your work area organized
• Stay productive during machine cycles and downtime
• Work with experienced machinists to develop additional setup, troubleshooting, and programming skills
