Job description

Join Our Team as a CNC Mill Operator at Empower Manufacturing!

The CNC Mill Operator is responsible for setting up and running CNC mills to produce precision parts that meet customer specifications. This role is not simply responsible for pressing cycle start — it is responsible for verifying the program, the setup, and the finished part before it moves on.

The ideal candidate is a hands‑on operator who takes ownership of their machine, catches problems early through dry runs and offsets, and communicates clearly with Team Leads and Quality when something needs attention.

Success in this role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the discipline to inspect your own work every time.

At Empower Manufacturing, we value operators who are curious, solutions‑focused, and team‑oriented — always willing to learn a new program or setup rather than stick to just one job.

Why Empower Manufacturing?

  • A positive and supportive work culture.
Work Schedule:
  • 40 hours per week, Monday through Thursday.

  • Employee optional OT Fridays and Saturdays, but never mandatory!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate CNC mills to produce parts to customer specifications.
  • Read and interpret customer prints and specifications to confirm program and setup requirements.
  • Dry-run new programs and verify proper machine operation before full production.
  • Make offsets and perform light program editing as needed to hold tolerance.
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment — micrometers, dial calipers, thread gages, and verniers — to ensure they meet customer requirements.
  • Follow work orders, job instructions, and company procedures to maintain quality and productivity standards.
  • Follow all company safety requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Previous CNC mill setup and operating experience.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and customer specifications.
