Job summary

Empower Manufacturing is seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Operator to set up and run lathes with precision. You will dry-run new programs, inspect parts against prints, and load materials safely using a hoist or crane.

The position offers a 4-day work week, 40 hours, and competitive pay with benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k match, PTO from day one, and paid holidays. Overtime is optional.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret customer prints and specifications.
• Set up and operate CNC lathes with live tooling.
• Handle parts up to 24" diameter and 125" length.
• Make offsets and minor program edits.
• Follow work orders and instructions.
• Measure parts with micrometers, calipers, or verniers.
• Be adaptable to additional tasks.

Work Schedule:

• 40 hours per week, Monday through Thursday.
• Monday - Thursday: 6:00am - 4:30pm.
• Fridays as needed.
• Optional weekend overtime available, but never mandatory!

What You'll Do:

• Showcase Your Skills: Set up and operate CNC lathes, demonstrating your expertise and precision.

• Work Efficiently: Use an overhead hoist or jib crane to safely and efficiently load and unload steel from the machine.

Requirements

Essential Functions for Our CNC Lathe Operator Role:

• Read and Interpret Customer Prints and Specifications: Utilize your expertise to accurately understand and work from detailed customer drawings and specs.
• Setup and Operate CNC Lathes with Live Tooling: Showcase your skills by efficiently setting up and operating CNC lathes.
• Work with Large Dimensions: Handle parts up to 24\" in diameter and 125\" in length.
• Make Offsets and Perform Light Program Editing: Fine-tune operations by making necessary offsets and performing minor program edits.
• Follow Company Work Orders and Instructions: Adhere to provided work orders and instructions to ensure high-quality results.
• Measure Parts with Basic Equipment: Ensure precision by measuring parts with tools like micrometers, dial calipers, thread gages, and verniers.
• Adaptability: Be ready to take on additional tasks as assigned by management to support our team's success.
