Job summary

Winpak Lane Inc. in Rialto, CA is seeking a dynamic CNC Mill Machinist for 2nd shift to join our team. Responsible for setting up and running CNC metal working machines and fabricating parts to exact blueprints and specs.

You will load programs, install fixtures, adjust tooling, inspect finished parts, and troubleshoot machining issues. Training junior machinists and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2–5 years in a fast-paced manufacturing/machine shop setting.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics and perform machining math.
  • Experience operating lathes, milling machines, drill presses, or cutoff saws.
  • G-code, M-code, and EIA programming/editing knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes per blueprints/specs.
  • Load programs, fixtures, tooling; adjust speeds/feeds/cuts.
  • Inspect and deburr parts to ensure quality.
  • Verify materials; troubleshoot issues; propose solutions.
  • Move materials safely; follow lockout/tagout and procedures.
  • Assist training of junior machinists as needed.
  • Maintain attendance; overtime as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Winpak Lane Inc. is seeking dynamic results driven CNC Mill Machinist 2 nd Shift to join our Team based out of Rialto CA. Responsible for setting up and running Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) metal working machines. Fabricate, erect, install, and maintain facility machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes to fabricate parts according to blueprints and specifications.
  • Load programs, install fixtures and tooling, and adjust machine speeds, feeds, and cutting depths.
  • Inspect and deburr finished parts to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Verify materials, troubleshoot machining issues, and recommend solutions.
  • Safely move materials and follow all safety, lockout/tagout, and company procedures.
  • Assist with training junior machinists as needed.
  • Maintain reliable attendance and work overtime as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Education:
  • High School Graduate or GED required
  • Experience:
    • 2-5 years minimum in a fast-paced manufacturing/machine shop setting.
    • Knowledge of machining equipment, tools, maintenance, and repair.
    • Ability to read blueprints and schematics and perform machining-related math.
    • Experience operating lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and/or cutoff saws.
    • Knowledge of G-code, M-code, and EIA programming and editing.
    • Strong judgment, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge in EIA programming and editing
Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Basic reading, writing, and some advanced arithmetic skills required.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
  • Experience using one or more of the following tools: Lathe, milling machine, drill press, and vertical/horizontal cut off saw.
  • Rely on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of G codes and M codes
Additional Requirements
  • Knowledge of raw materials including various metals and plastics.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds multiple times during work shift.
  • Basic knowledge of computer and Microsoft applications.
Compensation range

HOURLY RANGE $25.00 TO $26.00 BASED ON EXPERIENCE. The compensation range provided is a general guideline only. Pay will be determined based on the candidate's experience and expertise and is subject to vary.
