Job summary

Aerotek in Rancho Cucamonga, CA is seeking a CNC Mill Machinist to set up and operate multi-axis CNC mills. You will read blueprints, select tools, load programs, and inspect parts to ensure tight tolerances. This role supports a highly automated shop with DMU 50/65 and HAAS VF machines, primarily on second shift.

The position is contract-to-hire, with a 2nd shift schedule and a focus on safety, organization, and quality. Prior experience on FANUC, Siemens, and HAAS controls is required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC milling machines in a production environment.
• Ability to interpret CNC programs, setup sheets, tool lists and part drawings.
• Proficiency in multi-axis machining including 4- and 5-axis milling.
• Experience with stainless steel and aluminum materials.
• Set zero/reference points and input tool lengths/offsets accurately.
• Strong measurement and inspection skills for conformance to specs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and machine parts per work orders and blueprints.
• Load CNC programs, set zero/reference points, enter offsets.
• Select/load appropriate tools, holders and fixtures.
• Lubricate/cool parts to preserve tool life and accuracy.
• Run programs, monitor operation, take precise measurements.
• Inspect first-run and subsequent parts for quality conformance.
• Perform multi-position/contour milling on stainless steel and aluminum.
• Operate DMU 50/65 and HAAS VF series machines on second shift.
• Support automation: load/unload parts and follow production schedule.
• Maintain 5S workplace and adhere to safety rules.
