Job summary

Pacific Staffing, LLC is seeking a CNC Mill Machinist for the 2nd shift in Tualatin, OR. The role involves operating CNC mills to produce precision parts following drawings and blueprints, with emphasis on quality and safety.

You will load materials, verify measurements with calipers and micrometers, and maintain clean, organized work areas. This temp-to-hire position offers overtime eligibility and a 10% shift differential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Experience in a precision machine shop environment.
• Ability to interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC mill machines to produce parts according to specs, drawings or blueprints.
• Monitor machine functions to ensure they run correctly and efficiently.
• Load raw materials onto the machine.
• Secure workpieces with proper alignment for accurate machining.
• Use calipers, micrometers and gauges to check finished parts.
• Ensure parts meet quality standards and adjust as needed.
• Continuously monitor machining process during operation.
• Follow setup technicians, programmers or supervisors' instructions.
• Keep work area clean and organized; store tools and materials properly.

Back CNC Mill Machinist -- 2nd Shift
Manufacturing & General Production Temp To Hire

We are looking for a CNC Mill Machinist to join our 2nd shift in Tualatin, OR.

CNC Mill Machinist Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC mill machines to produce parts according to technical specifications, drawings, or blueprints
• Monitor machine functions, ensuring they are operating correctly and efficiently
• Load raw materials onto the machine
• Secure the workpieces ensuring proper alignment and positioning for accurate machining
• Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to check the dimensions of finished parts
• Ensure the parts meet quality standards and specifications, adjusting as necessary
• Continuously monitor the machine's operation during the machining process
• Follow instructions carefully from setup technicians, programmers, or supervisors
• Keep the work area clean and organized, ensuring all tools, equipment, and materials are properly stored when not in use

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent
• Experience in a precision machine shop environment
• Ability to interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)
• At least 6 months of experience in machine tool operation or 6 months machining training, or equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training

Preferred Skills:

• Training in basic shop and measurement math, including linear measurement, metrics, algebra and geometry
• Familiarity with ISO documentation and processes is a big plus

Pay:

• Competitive pay based on experience
• Employees on the 2nd shift receive an addition 10% differential towards their pay
  • 10% differential = Hourly Pay X .10
• Eligible for Overtime
