Job summary

AIM INC in Parkton, MD is seeking CNC Mill – Lathe Set-Up Operators to set up and run CNC machines, read blueprints, and program with CAD software. This in-person role requires attention to detail, adherence to quality standards, and the ability to work across day and evening shifts with overtime.

Ideal candidates will have prior CNC machining experience, proficiency with lathes and EDM, and a working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

CNC MILL – LATHE SET-UP OPERATORS WANTED

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC machines to perform precision machining operations
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations
• Use CAD software to program CNC machines
• Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to ensure quality and efficiency
• Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure proper functioning
• Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role
• Proficiency in operating power tools, including lathes and electrical discharge machines (EDM)
• Strong knowledge of machining techniques and processes
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
• Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions
• Knowledge of plastics injection molding is a plus
• Ability to use hand tools for assembly and finishing tasks
