AmpThink has an exciting opportunity for an experienced CNC Mill/Lathe Machinist. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in machining complex parts, conducting setups on mills and lathes, and ensuring quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

1. Verify documentation accuracy and consistency with job traveler.
2. Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances.
3. Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, and materials on machines.
4. Calculate and set controls for machining parameters or input commands for computerized controls.
5. Conduct dimensional FAI using calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
6. Verify conformance of finished parts to specifications.
7. Follow setup instructions to maximize efficiency.
8. Manage job clock-in and clock-out procedures.
9. Start and monitor machine operation, adjusting controls as needed.
10. Immediately escalate machining or tolerance issues to supervisors.
11. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
12. Communicate work status and requirements effectively with team members and supervisors.

Requirements

• Minimum 1-year experience in CNC machining.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, BOMs, and specifications.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends when required.
