Tramar Industries is a family owned, Used CNC Machinery Dealer with warehouses in the United States, Argentina, and Mexico. Tramar will buy, sell, broker, auction, and liquidate your new or used surplus industrial CNC & Manual machinery & equipment.
POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for an experienced CNC Mechanic/CNC Machine Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing machine repairs, maintenance, and overhaul on in-house machinery.Candidate will work closely with the sales team and other shop members to ensure the machines are functioning and operating to our customer’s and industry standards
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
• Ability to operate CNC Machine tools such as lathes, machining centers, boring mills, grinders, etc…
• Ability to diagnose mechanical problems on the CNC Machine tools described above.
• Ability to dismantle machines and equipment to gain access to problem areas & determine the corrective course of action.
• Ability to repair, replace or fix broken parts using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and machine shop equipment such as surface grinders, knee mills, and lathes, forklifts, and overhead cranes
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as machine blueprints, part diagrams, schematics, and machine manuals to determine work procedures
• Reassemble machines and equipment after completing any repairs to ensure the machines are operating to standards & tolerances.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair work completed
• Order machine parts and shop supplies as needed
• Inspect completed work to ensure that it meets specifications and standards
• Clean machines, tools, and equipment upon completion of repairs
• Performing other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certification is a plus
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Previous experiences with Okuma, Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Siemens CNC Controls preferred
• Proven experience as a CNC Mechanic or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machinery, controls, and programming.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Familiarity with precision measurement tools and quality control processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Commitment to safety and compliance standards.
