Job summary

Rusco Manufacturing is seeking a skilled CNC machinist to set up and program Mazatrol or G-code on Mazak lathes. You will interpret blueprints, run first-piece checks, and ensure production parts meet specifications.

Proficiency with Mazatrol, G-code/M-code, CAM software, and 2-4 axis lathe operations is required. Join a team that values precision and reliability in a fast-paced shop.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Experience in a production manufacturing environment.
• Familiar with 2, 3 & 4 axis lathes on the floor; live tooling and Y axis a plus.
• 3-5 years experience preferred.
• Proficient with G-Code and M-Code.
• Proficient with Production Set-ups.
• Proficient with PLC Troubleshooting and Programming.
• Experience with CNC Lathe (2-4 Axis) (Mazak).
• Experience with CAM Software.
• CNC Swiss Lathe (Star).
• PLC.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines, modify the program as necessary, install tool registers, and offsets.
• Install fixtures, set machine control settings, and run first-piece sample parts.
• Monitor the machine, detect malfunctions and adjust to control the process.
• Take a blueprint to a machine and write a program in Mazatrol or G-code, then complete the setup.
• Work with Mazatrol versions T-32, T+ Fusion and Matrix control / Smooth Control.
• Quality check parts for dimensions and finish against prints.
