Job summary

Daniel Defense is seeking a Manufacturing Technician 1 for the Steel Hammer Forge on D Shift in Black Creek, GA. You will operate CNC machines, perform inspections, and support production under supervision to ensure quality parts are produced on schedule.

The role emphasizes adherence to SOPs, safety practices, and teamwork with the Manufacturing team. Prior CNC exposure helps, and the shift runs Thurs/Fri/Sat 7pm–7:30am.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ years CNC experience preferred.
• Ability to pass basic skills in Mathematics, Metrology, Blueprint Reading.
• Knowledge of quality and safety procedures.
• Ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machinery and load/unload materials safely according to instructions.
• Monitor machine for unusual sound or vibration and report to supervision.
• Inspect parts using micrometers, dial indicators, and gauges.
• Remove finished product, deburr edges, and blend imperfections.
• Maintain machine, tooling, and fixtures; keep area clean and safe.
• Follow travelers, inspection sheets, PM logs, and non-conformance reports.
