Job description

Shape How Parts Are Made, Start to FinishPicture your day beginning on the shop floor, coffee in hand, walking past rows of CNC lathes and mills coming to life. You open your CAD/CAM workstation, generate a fresh program for a complex component, and head to a stand-up with Production to plan tool trials and a new job kickoff. By mid-morning, you’re timing a machining cycle, refining feeds and speeds, and documenting the setup. After lunch, you sync with Accounting to reconcile actuals versus your original RFQ estimate, adjust the cost model, then roll into training operators on a newly deployed process. When a machine alarm pops, you’re there—troubleshooting, debugging, and getting the line back on track. You finish the day logging R&D activity and prepping for a Product Realization Review you’ll back up for our Senior Manufacturing Engineer. What You’ll DoEngineer and optimize manufacturing processes to improve throughput, quality, and facility utilization.Program CNC lathes and mills using a CAD/CAM platform; iterate and validate at the machine to optimize cycle time and surface finish.Produce internal drawings and documentation from CAD to support fabrication and inspection.Establish processing time standards across the facility; conduct time studies and tooling evaluations, including perishable tooling selection and performance.Design and implement new technologies and changes to existing systems—coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and installing complex programs or automation.Analyze user data needs; build user-friendly solutions that interface with existing applications.Coordinate specification reviews and the sign-off process; lead implementation and training for new programs/systems.Assist operations in setup, testing, and support of new machining procedures and jobs.Troubleshoot complex operational issues and provide root-cause-oriented guidance.Prepare cost analyses comparing actual material, labor, and outside processing to estimates; partner with Accounting to track variances.Generate cost estimates from customer RFQs, drawings, and specifications.Create and manage travelers, setup sheets, and process logs for complete machining documentation.Set up, debug, and optimize new work on machines to first-article approval and beyond.Track all R&D activity and contribute to Product Realization Reviews as backup for the Sr. Manufacturing Engineer.Support Sales in developing new customers and represent Engineering in cross-functional meetings. What You BringAssociate’s degree or higher in a relevant field.5+ years of hands-on machining experience.Strong technical and computer proficiency; effective verbal communication; collaborative mindset.Proven problem-solving, organizational effectiveness, and project management capability. Why You’ll Love Working HereComprehensive medical planDental — 50% employer paidVision — 50% employer paidShort-Term Disability — 50% employer paidLong-Term Disability — 50% employer paidEmployer-paid Protec Prescription Safety Glass planCompany-paid Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Voluntary benefits: Life, Accident, Specified Disease, Pet Insurance, ID & Legal ShieldPaid time off (PTO) and 10 paid holidaysWellness program and telehealth services2nd shift premiums401(k) with up to 4% company matchCompany-paid life insurance ($20,000)Flexible Spending Account (FSA)Paid bereavementTuition reimbursementSafety shoe allowanceCompany events & luncheonsEmployee referral programOur CommitmentPremier Precision Machining PA, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer, committed to fostering diversity in its staff, and strongly encourages applications from the entire spectrum of a diverse community.
