Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or related field preferred.
  • Experience in CNC machining and manufacturing process development.
  • Strong understanding of machining principles, workholding, tooling, fixturing.
  • Knowledge of machine shop practices, inspection methods, and precision measuring equipment.
  • Experience with CAD and solid modelling software.
  • Familiarity with engineering drawings, GD&T and manufacturing documentation.
  • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating within cross-functional teams.

  • Drive continuous improvement focused on productivity, workflow and schedule attainment.
  • Provide technical support to production personnel and machine operators.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Review engineering designs for manufacturability, tolerances, quality requirements, and cost considerations.

  • Review Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and update process documentation accordingly.
  • Partner with manufacturing, quality, engineering, and operations teams to improve efficiency and product quality.
  • Support root cause investigations and corrective action activities related to production and quality issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, workflow optimisation, and schedule attainment.
  • Provide technical support to production personnel and machine operators as needed.

The Successful Applicant

Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
