Role Description

This full-time, on-site Manufacturing Engineer role is based in South Windsor, CT. The Manufacturing Engineer will develop and optimize manufacturing processes for precision machined components, including process planning, tooling design, and workflow improvements. Responsibilities include collaborating with machinists and production staff to resolve technical issues, supporting new product introduction, and ensuring that work instructions, routings, and documentation are accurate and up to date. The role involves analyzing production performance data, driving continuous improvement initiatives for safety, quality, delivery, and cost, and coordinating with quality assurance to maintain compliance with customer and industry standards. The Manufacturing Engineer will also assist in equipment selection, maintenance planning, and implementation of best practices across the shop floor.

Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in Manufacturing Engineering and Manufacturing Processes, with experience designing and improving machining workflows.
  • Background in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to production efficiency and quality.
  • Hands-on understanding of Machining operations, CNC programming or support, tooling selection, and precision measurement techniques.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in a precision machining or metalworking environment, ideally serving aerospace, energy, or heavy equipment industries.
  • Proficiency with CAD/CAM and manufacturing-related software, and familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications, and to communicate clearly with cross-functional teams.
  • Commitment to workplace safety, product quality, and on-time delivery, with strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
