This role focuses on defining the manufacturing approach, driving improvements, and leading cross‑functional decisions to meet program requirements.

Qualifications

• Define machining strategies and solve complex process problems.
• Read drawings with GD&T and connect requirements to manufacturability.
• Lead cross‑functional decisions across design, CAM, machinists, and quality.
• Hands‑on in CNC process development, prove‑out, and production improvement.
• Experience with CAM systems and on‑machine probing or inspection feedback.

Responsibilities

• Own CNC manufacturing strategy and producibility for projects.
• Influence geometry, tolerances, and materials early in lifecycles.
• Define overall machining approach, tooling, and inspection strategy.
• Provide direction to CAM programmers while they own detailed CNC programs.
• Lead improvements in machining strategy, tooling, and process control.
• Develop mature processes for transition from development to production.
• Identify risks related to chatter, distortion, tool wear, and variation.
• Evaluate new CNC technologies and automation capabilities.
