Job summary

GE Vernova in Bangor, Maine is seeking an engineer to define and control production processes, including tooling and equipment, and to validate shop-floor applications of new products and tools.

Candidate will develop manufacturing methods aligned with safety, delivery, and cost priorities, while gaining deep technical knowledge and functioning as an individual contributor with strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 1 year of CNC experience (programming preferred).
• Must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must be able to work 100% onsite in Bangor, Maine and willing to work weekend shift 6AM-6:30 PM.

Responsibilities

• Define and control production process including tooling and equipment; validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing methods to support safety, delivery, delivery, cost (SQDC) priorities.
• Develop in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline.
• Understand key business drivers and how work integrates with other teams.
• Use judgment to propose solutions outside set parameters with guidance; leverage experience to solve tasks.
• Contribute as an individual with strong interpersonal and time-management skills.
• Participate in monthly Lean Kaizen events to support Lean Roadmap.
• Support New Product Introduction.
• Support CNC processes.
