Job summary

WPI in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Machinist to program, set-up, adjust, and operate manual and CNC machines. You will interpret engineering drawings, select tools, and ensure parts meet tolerances.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of machining experience and a GED or high school diploma. The role requires standing, lifting up to 100 pounds, and adherence to safety standards, with hours 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., Monday–Friday, plus occasional weekend work.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in machining or related field.

Responsibilities

• Program, set-up, adjust, and operate manual and CNC machining centers, lathes, and milling machines as prescribed.
• Study blueprints, sketches, drawings and specifications to determine tooling and set-up requirements.
• Create and edit CNC programs from engineering drawings and verify tolerances.
• Set up machines, fixtures, and tooling to produce high quality parts.
• Operate multiple CNC centers to meet specifications.
• Inspect parts and document quality checks; maintain safe work practices.
• Perform preventive maintenance and assist with housekeeping.
