Job summary

Crane Technologies is seeking an experienced CNC and Manual Machinist for our Rochester Hills shop. You will set up and operate CNC lathes and mills, as well as manual lathes and mills, to fabricate one-off parts and short runs from engineering drawings.

You will decide tooling, speeds, feeds, and machining approaches, make offsets and program adjustments, inspect finished parts with precision gauges, and maintain an organized, safety-conscious work area.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC lathes and CNC mills.
• Experience operating manual lathes and manual mills.
• Strong machine setup and troubleshooting skills.
• Able to read blueprints and hold required tolerances.
• Able to plan custom setups and decide the machining approach.
• CNC programming or large steel component experience is a plus.

Crane Technologies has designed and manufactured custom overhead bridge cranes and material- handling equipment since 1946, for industrial and government customers nationwide. We are a privately owned manufacturer that designs for performance, not down to a price point, so the work is varied and the standards are high.

We are hiring an experienced CNC and Manual Machinist for our Rochester Hills, MI shop. This is not repetitive production work. You will run CNC and manual lathes and mills on one-off parts, repairs and short runs, and decide how each job gets machined.
