Job summary

UMC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service and maintain production equipment, ensuring uptime and safety at the Monticello, MN site. You will perform diagnostics, repairs, preventive maintenance, and parts sourcing, contributing to on-time production and continuous improvement.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in manufacturing maintenance, an associate degree or equivalent experience, and strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial maintenance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years in manufacturing maintenance, machine service, rebuild and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Keep CNCs and mechanical equipment in top condition.
• Diagnose failures and plan prompt repairs.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance with machinists.
• Source parts and estimate repair costs to minimize downtime.
