Job summary

Los Alamos National Laboratory is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the PF-ILAM team. This role covers preventive and corrective maintenance for complex CNC machinery across multiple facilities, including installations and upgrades, with emphasis on precision tooling measurements.

Candidates should have a mechanical or electrical background and be willing to work across disciplines. On-site work in Los Alamos, NM, with training opportunities and certifications supported by LANL.

Qualifications

• Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance on complex machinery.
• Ability to work across mechanical and electrical disciplines.
• Willingness to acquire certifications such as Radiological Worker II and forklift/crane operator.

Responsibilities

• Provide PM and CM for complex machine tools across eight facilities.
• Install, upgrade, and retrofit machines; maintain on-machine tool measurements.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts and support root cause analyses.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to improve uptime and performance.
