Job summary

RIM Recruitment Professionals is seeking skilled CNC Machinists for an aerospace manufacturing environment in Michigan. Relocation assistance is available, and shifts include afternoon or night with potential shift bonuses.

You will set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, grinders, shapers, and manual machines, inspect parts to specifications, and maintain production records. Candidates should have 2+ years of CNC experience and GD&T knowledge.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of CNC machining experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, planning documents, and specifications.
• Working knowledge of GD&T fundamentals.
• U.S. Citizenship required; must be able to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, grinders, shapers, and manual machines.
• Machine and inspect precision components to engineering and customer specifications.
• Perform in‑process inspections, testing, and verification to ensure quality standards.
• Identify and remove burrs; visually inspect parts for defects.
• Maintain accurate part identification, documentation, and production records.
• Communicate shift updates to ensure smooth handoffs.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and support a clean, organized work area.
• Assist with additional machining or production tasks as needed.

What You’ll Do

• Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, grinders, shapers, and manual machines
• Machine and inspect precision components to engineering and customer specifications

What You Bring

• Ideal shifts include shift bonuses (2: 00 PM–10: 30 PM) or night (10: 00 PM–6: 30 AM)
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, push/pull 60 lbs, and reach overhead
• U.S. Citizenship required; must be able to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance
