Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist in Fort Loudon, PA to fabricate precision parts using CNC mills, CNC lathes, and manual equipment. You will study blueprints and tooling to set up operations, ensuring tight tolerances and quality standards.

The role requires 2–4 years of CNC experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and solid time management. You will work in a safety-first environment, with opportunities to grow and contribute to a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 2 to 4 years CNC experience required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and good time management.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Familiarity with inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, CMM) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills, CNC lathes, and other machining equipment.
• Align holding fixtures and select appropriate cutting tools.
• Perform intermediate machining steps to produce precision parts.
• Inspect parts during production and verify with micrometers, calipers, and CMM when applicable.
• Maintain clean, organized workspace and follow safety protocols.

Are you ready to bring precision, craftsmanship, and technical expertise to a high-quality manufacturing environment? We are looking for a skilled CNC Machinist to join our full-time manufacturing team. In this exciting role, you will work directly with precision equipment to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts, holding them to the exacting quality standards required in our facility.

Every day offers a new problem-solving opportunity as you study blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to map out operations and calculate precise setup parameters. As a core member of our production workflow, you will set up and operate a versatile lineup of machineryincluding CNC mills, CNC lathes, manual mills, drill presses, and material handling equipment like forkliftsto bring complex parts to life. From aligning holding fixtures and selecting cutting tools to performing intermediate machining steps, your expertise will ensure production stays sharp and efficient.

Quality is built right into your daily routine. You will observe machines in motion to catch out-of-tolerance specs early, make precision control adjustments on the fly, and verify your results using micrometers, calipers, and CMM inspection tools. Beyond crafting quality parts, you'll take pride in promoting a safety-first workplace, documenting SOP quality checks, and maintaining an organized workspace. Safety Footwear: Closed-toe, slip-resistant steel-toe or composite-toe work boots are required to safely navigate the machining floor and material-handling areas. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Eye protection (ANSI-approved safety glasses with side shields) and hearing protection are mandatory when operating machinery. Additional gear, such as gloves or face shields, should be worn as required by specific machining or grinding tasks. General Shop Attire: Work-appropriate, durable clothing (such as fitted work shirts and heavy pants like denim or canvas) suitable for a variable-temperature shop environment. Safety Restrictions: Loose clothing, dangling jewelry, unconfined long hair, or neckwear are strictly prohibited near rotating machine spindles, lathes, mills, and moving equipment.
