Join to apply for the CNC Machinist Weekend shift role at Leidos

Leidos is seeking a talented CNC Machinist Weekend shift to join our Mechanical Manufacturing team in Huntsville, AL. The ideal candidate will have experience in programming, setup, and operation of CNC Mills and CNC Lathes.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Read engineering drawings and CAD models to produce precision parts.
2. Experience in manufacturing complex aerospace components from exotic materials like Titanium is a plus.
3. Experience with 5-axis and/or mill-turn machining is a plus.
4. Work on various projects in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Basic Qualifications

1. High School diploma/GED and at least 3 years of precision machining experience on CNC Mills & Lathes.
2. Ability to lift at least 35 pounds unassisted.
3. Regular attendance.
4. Availability to work full-time, 3-day weekend shifts (Friday-Sunday, 12-hour shifts, 6am-6pm).
5. Must be a US Citizen and eligible for or possess a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience with 5-axis machining using Fanuc, Siemens 840D controls, and MAPS programming.
2. Experience setting up CNC mills and lathes.
3. Experience with setting up consumable tooling.
